Primary Strategies:

1. Digital Database Management (MIS) Enhancement

The objective is to improve the collection, storage, and analysis of data for greater efficiency. This data is then utilized as evidence to support advocacy efforts, enabling more informed decision-making and strategic advocacy to address key issues effectively.

2. Strengthening the Criminal Justice System

The goal of strengthening the criminal justice system is to promote greater accountability, particularly within the police department. This is achieved through systematic advocacy approaches that focus on procedural corrections and the use of strategic litigation methodologies, aiming to enhance police accountability and improve the overall justice process.

3. Access to Victim Compensation

It aims to ensure that all survivors of human trafficking and related crimes can access victim compensation. Efforts focus on removing barriers and streamlining the claims process to facilitate timely and effective compensation for survivors.

4. Strategy Document Finalization:

It aligns the Tafteesh program’s strategy with its program-level objectives and the organization’s overall goals. This involves finalizing a comprehensive strategy document detailing the objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes to guide program implementation effectively.

5. Interstate Networking and Collaboration:

It strengthens collaborations with state-level organizations to improve interstate case management. This includes sharing learnings and best practices from the Tafteesh program to enhance coordination and support for survivors across state boundaries.

6. Amplifying Survivors’ Voices:

At the state and national level, it involves creating platforms for survivors to address issues like victim compensation and the need for speedy trials, advocating for their rights and priorities.

7. Enhancing Legal Aid Support:

It ensures the effective functioning of legal aid lawyers. This involves promoting their active participation in victim compensation and procedural correction processes to provide survivors with adequate legal representation.

8. Knowledge Product Creation:

The objective is to document and share the changes and impacts of the Tafteesh program. This includes creating knowledge products like reports, case studies, and other materials to communicate findings, challenges, and successes with stakeholders and the wider community.
