ATTERP

The Addressing Trafficking Through Effective Prevention and Reintegration Programme (ATTERP) focuses on preventing human trafficking and ensuring child rights protection by empowering youth and communities. Key strategies include forming Child and Youth Participation (CYP) groups to lead awareness and prevention efforts, involving stakeholders like local authorities and NGOs for coordinated responses, and strengthening Village Level Child Protection Committees (VLCPC) to safeguard child rights. The program fosters collaboration, advocacy, and action to combat trafficking and child rights violations.

Achievements

The Addressing Trafficking Through Effective Prevention and Reintegration Programme (ATTERP) achieved significant milestones in trafficking prevention and child rights protection.

Active Involvement of Child and Youth People (CYP):
CYP played a key role in community initiatives, raising awareness and advocating against trafficking and child rights violations.
Collaboration with Community Influencers and Service Providers: The program fostered cooperation with community leaders and service providers to strengthen support for trafficking prevention.

Engagement with Child Protection Authorities:
Successful interfaces with the District Child Protection Officer (DCPU) and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) strengthened collaboration with authorities.

Formation of CYP Groups:
Five CYP groups, totaling 145 members across five Gram Panchayats, were formed for active involvement.

Engagement of Community Influence Persons:
The program engaged 130 community influencers to support child rights and trafficking prevention efforts.

Prevention of Child Marriage:
32 child marriages were prevented through community mobilization and awareness.

School Admissions for Dropout Children:
47 school dropouts were enrolled in school, ensuring access to education.

Integration of Child Laborers into Education:
31 children from labor were enrolled in age-appropriate school classes.

Community Awareness Meetings:
43 community meetings on child rights and gender issues were organized, promoting dialogue.

Engagement Activities with CYP Groups:
51 meetings and 19 theater shows conducted by CYP groups addressed social issues in the community.
