Leadership Next
Launched in 2018 as the Survivors’ Leadership Program (SLP), the initiative empowers trafficking survivors through mentoring and collaborative learning, enabling them to develop leadership skills. Rebranded as “Leadership Next” in 2021, the program shifted its strategy to focus on long-term leadership development.
This year, Leadership Next adopted a role-shifting and handover strategy to strengthen its organizational structure and prepare the team for future leadership. The approach emphasized capacity-building, visibility, mental health, and gradual delegation to create a sustainable and empowered leadership ecosystem.
1. Skill Enhancement of Secretariat Members:
Trained in proposal writing, M&E, GMF, and documentation, improving operational effectiveness.
2. Media Visibility and Strategic Expansion:
Collaborated with state and national partners, boosting visibility and strengthening ties with government bodies through the Annual Leadership Meet.
3. Mental Health Promotion and Team Resiliency:
Introduced mental health strategies, fostering team well-being and resilience.
Trained 10 Bijoyini leaders and 3 facilitators, ensuring leadership continuity through gradual role delegation.
5. Escalation, Crisis Management, and Program Convergence:
Enhanced skills in crisis management and role clarity, strengthening collaboration between Collectives and Mentoring Organizations.
