Sanhati
Initiated in 2018, Sanhati program addresses human trafficking with a focus on protecting adolescent girls in North 24 Parganas. Efforts include strengthening Yuva Sakti Groups to combat social issues, community sensitization meetings to prevent early marriage, school dropouts, and child labor, and awareness campaigns using theater to highlight gender discrimination, early marriage, dowry, trafficking, and domestic violence. Initially targeting Beraberia and Sutia Panchayats in the highly vulnerable Amdanga and Gaighata Blocks, interventions have since expanded to Bodai and Shimulpur.
